Welcome to FugaCrafts

Here’s hoping you find our site informative and useful to you as you make your voyage around the UK craft world.

The development of FugaCrafts started about 8 years ago, when myself and a good friend and (funnily enough) cousin, started sharing our interests in the ever expanding world of crafts.

At the time on opposite ends of the UK, we established we both dabbled in some craft or another, one now being FugaCards and the other FugaWax.

We both extracted huge enjoyment in some weird way, from driving all over the UK roadmap in search of the ideal so called ‘Craft Centre’.

Independently at the time, whilst looking for that unusual Christmas gift or birthday gift not to be found in your usual high street shops and malls, we were both constantly disappointed with what we found on so many occasions.

After driving miles and miles, sometimes for a couple of hours or even a weekend, we would eagerly park up awaiting a knockout alternative shopping experience only to come face to face with maybe three or four craft shops or stalls, containing un-necessary plastic objects that can be obtained from any market place you come across, even the one around the corner from your home. Not one real ‘Craft’ in sight, not even knitting wool!

After further research we discovered the main thing that was ‘pulling the wool over our eyes’ was fantastically worded glossy flyers and pretty websites boasting, the ‘best’ Craft Centre in the North, South, East or West.

So after a few years of wasting money on Petrol, B&B’s (which is another story, which we hope to cover at some point) joined forces to bring to you what we have now called our Craft Safari ….
